National Gallery Singapore
Gallery Open House 2016: Common Grounds
The Brief
Create a key visual for Common Grounds, a weekend festival and gallery open house
at National Gallery Singapore, celebrating local culture and heritage.
The Idea
For Common Grounds at National Gallery Singapore, the idea was to celebrate Singapore’s rich cultural past by blending iconic elements of art, food, music, and play into one cohesive key visual. At the heart of the design, we brought together the Gallery’s two national monument buildings, emblems of heritage and infused them with nostalgic activities and scenes from Singapore’s yesteryears.
Using a clean, playful illustration style, the visual invites families and young audiences to reconnect with familiar traditions, making the past feel accessible and alive for a new generation.
